Older Labradoodle Puppies for Sale

Puppies with a little training and Older dogs ready for new homes.

Many reasons lead people to look for an older puppy or a dog that will require less training or time commitment than an 8 week old puppy. We are lucky at Great Day Labradoodles to have some options available to meet these needs. When possible we send a pup or two off to trainers to live with them from age 8 weeks to 10 or 12 weeks old. These pups will be posted here along with their ready date and price. Pictures and videos updated weekly with their achievements. They will have completed temperament testing and we can match them to your application then they can be reserved at any point throughout their training process. Additional time with the trainer is possible.

Older dogs listed here have come about for any number of reasons. Our puppy contract requires that anytime a customer cannot keep their dog, it comes back to Great Day for re-homing. We will do our best to describe the dogs temperament, quirks and ideal situation. They will go to a new home with a mandatory 10 day trial period to make sure we have a good fit. Typically when re-homing a dog over 2 years old we like to keep them local and make that trial period convenient.

All puppies and dogs require direction in their new homes. Months of training will not teach them where your doggy door is where to go when you tell them to lie down. Spending a little time with the trainer and understanding how to communicate to them will vastly improve results. A 30 minute session at time of pick up is included with purchase price.

Tassie is looking for her new family, she is 7 years old and weighs 27 lbs. Tassie is well-trained, smart and obedient. She completed Wonder Puppy Training as a new puppy and also completed an intensive course with Sit Means Sit. We continue to use these methods in the household with Tassie. She is very well house-trained; will even ring a bell to ask to be let out. She is very well leash trained. Loves car rides and does well both riding and waiting in the car. She free-feeds and does not over eat. She can do a number of tricks on command. She does not chew things in the house or dig in the yard. And she tolerates going to the groomer and vet, though shows obvious signs of nervousness. Tassie is in good health. She is up to date on all recommended vaccines and flea/heartworm medication. She has been microchipped and spayed.

Tassie would prefer a home without a lot of visitors and commotion, but with owners that spend a lot of time at home. She likes to have companionship and people around most of the time. (Just not petting her.) She can be very cute and cuddle when she wants and with people she trusts. Tassie is "touch-sensitive" and fear aggressive.  She prefers attention on her terms, much like a cat – she will come to you for cuddles when she ready. If she is approached when she is not ready, she may become fearful and aggressive. She will growl and, if pushed, may bite. She is cautious around strangers but with time will accept a new friend. While she will generally leave other animals at a distance alone, she will become fear aggressive if they approach her.

Tassie’s ideal new family will not have young children nor other pets. She will do best with experienced dog owners who are able to give her daily exercise and enjoy lots of fetch time.
